I love 10/cups because it often represents happiness and joy shared with family, friends and your community. When joy is shared it only magnifies into brilliant prisms of possibility. And most of our joyous thoughts and memories often are with others or for others.
Joy can never be a selfish thing and it is infectious, a beautiful baby smiling lights up a room; we cannot help but be caught by the bug of joy. This slideshow on the Definitions of Joy truly highlight the act of joy in community. We want to share our happiest moments with others, screaming at the top of our lungs, "I love her!" or getting down on one knee in a crowded restaurant, we cannot resist inviting others into our happiness. The other part of this equation is sharing in the joy and good fortune being experienced by others, knowing that as happiness radiates from them, so too, does it shine upon us. 1. When others are experiencing happiness and good fortune I respond in the following ways... 2. Are you present-focused when you are in a state of bliss? If not, why not? 3. When you are in a state of joy, how do you share it with others? 4. What can you do to increase more moments of joy, happiness and well-being? (hint: don't know? check the slideshow!)

Shadowscapes Tarot
There is nothing like the honest goodwill and kindness of a child. Without guile, agenda or motives a pure act of kindness: a picked flower, a beautiful rock, a hug from a young one, can change a bad mood into a good one. 6/cups is about kindness, experiencing joy, innocent pleasures acts of giving, and childhood.
It is true that the act of giving feels great and when we do something to lift someone's spirits we also feel happy, too. It can be as small as paying for someone's coffee down the line, filling the parking meter with an extra quarter; small acts of generous grace uplift everyone, especially the giver. This card is also about children and childhood so spending time with a young loved one helps remind us of the wee little one we once were. Play and imagination are needed throughout our lives and if we need a boost a child will show the way. 1. Today I committed a random act of kindness, here is what I did... it made me feel... 2. I want to create more kindness in my community, here is a plan to do so... 3. One of my favorite childhood fantasy was... my imagination took me to the following places... 4.

8/cups usually depicts a person walking away from standing cups towards the mountains in the evening. He has many cups, but still he is not satisfied, striking out into the unknown he searches for his truth.
Walking away from the known yet unfulfilling thing requires great courage. The greatest visionaries and spiritual leaders in our collective human history started with the great and difficult act of walking away; walking away from the job, the title, the nice life and into the desert to follow a call he could not ignore. Sometimes the leaving is not easy and can be a lonely thing to do, others will not understand and perhaps even judge but to stay means to deny the truth shining brightly within the deepest part of our heart. To stay would mean ignoring a fundamental part of who we are. 1. What do you need to walk away from? What are you unsatisfied about? 2. What will it take to for you to walk away? 3. What part of your Truth is hungering to be let out? 4. Who will you most likely disappoint in the process or

9/cups has a traditional meaning of wishes being granted. This card can also indicate a time of great personal satisfaction, enjoying sensual and earthly pleasures, goals met and after a period of effort now is the time to kick back and enjoy the fruit of your labors. This is considered one of the most positive cards in the deck and speaks of satisfaction in all areas of your life.
Sometimes we struggle with just enjoying the things we have worked so hard for. We instantly leap to the next goal, the next item on the list without truly taking a moment to congratulate and celebrate our successes. 9/cups is also about feeling pride about what you have done; you made that the world is a better place because of your efforts, you deserve to pat yourself on the back! 1. Do you allow yourself time or energy to celebrate your successes or do you just move onto the next thing. "Yes I did lose 10 pounds, but I have 10 more to go..." Can you just feel good without tacking on what more needs to be done? 2. Write about a time when you really felt a wish came true, how did that feel? What was the wish? Were you careful about what you wished for? 3. This card is also about feeling gratitude, what are you grateful for in your life right now?
4/cups rides a fine line between being introspective and being self absorbed. The positive aspects of 4/swords are the times when you are reflective, meditative, quiet and usually in deep contemplation; all wonderful qualities! Sometimes though that contemplation can mean a personal absorption so self-focused that we miss other important messages literally being handed to us.
It could be the person who wants to be your friend but you are too busy to notice. The elderly neighbor who would love some company but you are too busy. A job or potential mate is available but because we have been so focused on what we think we want we cannot see the wonderful thing being offered just right of center. Being Now-focused helps with seeing what truly is outside of ego. Take 10 minutes today to be present focused in the company of others, I bet you will see something you did not notice before. 1. Lately, I have been distracted by the following issue... I know I have not been paying attention because... 2. I have a feeling I should bring my focus and attention on the following... 3. Today I took 10 minutes being Now-Focused, this is where I was and this is what happened. 4. Today I took 10 minutes to turn off any electronics that took me out of the present moment, here is what happened...

Joyful flow in celebration and playfulness is 3/cups. This card is about having a good time among people you cherish and trust.
This card is also about being unselfconscious in your enjoyment; dancing silly with the kids or enjoying another glass of wine hours as hours pass to your own astonishment. Being within the web of love, security and acceptance is a powerful and beautiful thing. Being in the creative flow with your tribe means not thinking about the past or experiencing anxiety about the future. This is a delightful, playful card full of positive energy and joy. Finding your tribe is not only enjoyable, it is a part of the holistic map of good health... Conducted by the Centre for Ageing Studies at Flinders University, (a) study followed nearly 1,500 older people for 10 years. It found that those who had a large network of friends outlived those with the fewest friends by 22%. Not to mention a whole host of other health indicators... are you making friendship the priority in your life that it needs to be? 1. Who is your tribe, those whom you feel accepted and loved? When was the last time you connected with them? 2. As we get older, finding our tribe can be challenging due to many different factors, have you found yours and if they are not local, what are you doing to create one you can connect with face to face? 3. Life is busy, full of obligations and responsibilities, but are you making time to connect with your friends? Are you making it the important addition to your life that it is? 4. Who are you, who emerges when you feel completely comfortable and happy, what is that person like, that best self?
The Queen/Cups like all court cards represent an aspect of yourself, another person of influence in your life, an action or state of being. This Queen embodies compassion, empathy, sensitivity, intuition, and spirituality. The Mother Theresa would be the epitome of the spirit of Q/Cups. This Queen is soft, patient, tender-hearted and serene; she is the idealized feminine principal that we see emblazoned on artwork throughout the Romantic and Victorian periods. This Queen can also be tremendously psychic and spiritually oriented.
1. Who or what in your life, needs your compassionate nature right now? 2. Tell me about a time you were motivated to great action through your compassionate and tender-hearted nature? What or who, did you save? 3. Do you find it difficult to be vulnerable and soft, if so why? If not, how has this aspect benefited you. 4. What is Spirit saying to you?
Ace's are always gifts and it is no different for the Ace of Cups. Drawing the Ace of Cups brings intimacy, love, gifts of intuition and insight, and working within your emotional intelligence. Love is the mini enlightenment, the experience of letting go of ego, just Being in the Light of Love. And when we love we free others, too.
It Felt Love How Did the rose Ever open its heart And give to this world All its Beauty? It felt the encouragement of light Against its Being, Otherwise, We all remain Too Frightened.-- Hafiz 1. I love and I know I love because... 2. I am worthy of love and I am loved because... 3. Love is such an inadequate word to describe all the kinds of love there is in the world, what kinds of love have you not experienced yet? 4. Today I commit to doing one act of love for another; what I am going to do is...
Maybe it was the drama free Thanksgiving, or dancing at your Grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. Maybe it was sitting at a table with your close friends, your sisters, your tribe but in that moment you look around and as you sigh contentedly you realize that life is good and you are filled with peace and joy. This card is all about having a peaceful, happy moment with those nearest and dearest to you.
